Templates

Templates overview

Understand Vidquel template families, viral formats, and how to pick the right starting point for your next video.

Templates are the fastest way to ship consistent short-form videos. Each template gives Vidquel a proven structure — beats, pacing, visuals, and voice direction — so you focus on your message, not on editing timelines from scratch.

Production template families

Vidquel organizes templates by visual and narrative engine. Each family defines how your story is told — beats, pacing, visuals, and voice direction — so you focus on your message, not on editing timelines from scratch.

Available families

  • Cinematic Story — emotional narration over cinematic scene visuals
  • Minecraft duo commentary — two-character dialogue over gameplay-style backgrounds
  • Social media chat — DM-thread storytelling with authentic chat UI
  • AI Doodle — hand-drawn whiteboard explainers narrated as they draw
  • UGC Creator — lip-synced avatar reads your script with karaoke captions
  • Freeform — flexible stock-montage narration for general topics

When to use templates

  • You publish regularly and need repeatable structure
  • You want hooks and pacing tuned for TikTok, Shorts, or Reels
  • You are promoting a product, lesson, or story with a clear arc
  • You plan to batch variations through Campaigns

Templates do not limit creativity — they accelerate the first draft. Every generated video opens in the scene editor where you rewrite lines, swap media, and adjust timing.

Platform fit

Most templates default to vertical 9:16 for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. Select LinkedIn in Create for a 1:1 square export when posting to professional feeds.

Tip

Match template energy to platform culture: Social chat and Minecraft excel on TikTok; Cinematic Story works well on Shorts and Reels; Freeform suits high-volume faceless channels on any platform.

Voices and templates

On Create, pair templates with one of four voices — Atlas, Luna, Nova, or Sage. Narration-led families (Cinematic Story, Freeform) benefit from Atlas or Sage. Conversational formats often shine with Luna or Nova.

Credits and plans

Each generation uses credits — about 8 for a typical 30-second video. Solo ($19/month, 1,000 credits), Creator ($29/month, 2,000 credits), and Studio ($99/month, 10,000 credits) set your monthly allowance and which templates, canvas formats, and Direct AI models are included.

Important

Some specialized visual families may not be available on every plan. Check your dashboard if a template appears locked — upgrading unlocks the full library and removes watermarks.
